What our Duct Cleaning Process Consists of...

Upon arrival to your house, our skilled, trained technicians will place drop cloth runners from our entry point to your heating/cooling equipment to protect your floors and floor coverings.  We then, place corner guards on any corner wall that our vacuum and hose systems may rub against to protect from scuffs or damage.  We then pull an 8" diameter flexible vacuum hose   from our truck mounted vacuum system to your heating/cooling equipment.  This vacuum system is capable of pulling over 4000 cubic feet per minute through your duct system.  All supply and return registers are sealed off and during the cleaning process only one register is opened for the pressurized whip system to clean that piece of the duct work.  The pressurized whip with rubber agitation hose is inserted from the register opening and slowing pushed down the duct agitating and breaking loose any debris in the duct work which is then drawn through the system and removed via the 8" vacuum hose attached to the Truck.  This process is repeated for every register opening in the house.  Once all the branch runs have been cleaned, we then apply our Viper II whip system to your main supply and return trunk lines and clean them as shown in the video linked to the above picture.  Once this process in completed all access holes will be plugged or sealed, but are still available for future duct cleanings.

FAQ'S

Is furnace cleaning included?
Our technicians will blow out the blower wheel during the cleaning process, but a full tune-up can be added at an additional discounted cost.

Which is better, truck mounted or portable vacuums?  There is a wide variety of equipment available to air duct cleaning professionals.  Our Truck mounted vacuum system is powered by a 350 Cubic Inch V-8 engine and (PTO) which is far superior to any Portable vacuum type system used by other professionals.

How Long will it take to clean my Air Ducts?  Air Duct Cleaning can take between 4 to 8 hours to complete.  Some factors that can help determine how long it will take are the size of your home, the amount of vents, and the condition of your air ducts (how dirty are they?)

I think that there is a dead animal in my duct system, can you remove that?  Yes our system is powerful enough to remove small rodents from the duct system

When is the best time of the year to have my air ducts cleaned?  Colorado Comfort Systems can perform cleanings any time of the year.  It is important to know that when you have your air ducts cleaned, your furnace or air conditioner will be turned off during the entire duct cleaning process.  This can be inconvenient during the extreme temperatures of Summer and Winter for some people.  If you are able to plan ahead for you air duct cleaning, it is advisable to schedule it during the Spring and Fall months.
